Creamy Potato Casserole Bake 🥔🧀
A rich, cozy potato dinner with a creamy pour-over sauce that bakes into pure comfort food.
Ingredients
6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, diced
2 cups heavy cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped parsley or crispy bacon for topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a glass casserole dish with butter or cooking spray.
Layer sliced potatoes and onions evenly in the dish.
In a bowl, whisk together:
heavy cream
cream of chicken soup
melted butter
garlic
salt and pepper
Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the potatoes.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake another 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Cooked ham or shredded chicken
Mushrooms
Paprika or thyme
Parmesan on top for extra crispiness
