Slow Cooker Cube Steak with Brown Gravy
Ingredients
4 cube steaks
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth or water
Optional
Sliced onions or mushrooms
Mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for serving
Instructions
Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray or lightly grease it.
Place the cube steaks in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together:
brown gravy mix
onion soup mix
cream of mushroom soup
beef broth
Pour the gravy mixture over the steaks.
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–8 hours
High: 3–4 hours
The steaks should become very tender and the gravy thick and rich.
Serve With
Mashed potatoes
Buttered noodles
Rice
Steamed green beans or carrots

For even more flavor, quickly brown the cube steaks in a skillet for 2 minutes per side before adding them to the slow cooker.
