Creamy Pour-Over Potato Casserole
This cozy potato bake is rich, creamy, and perfect for a comforting dinner or side dish.
Ingredients
2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 cups heavy cream
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
Optional: chopped parsley or crispy bacon for topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a glass casserole dish with butter or cooking spray.
Layer the sliced potatoes and onions evenly in the dish.
In a bowl, whisk together:
heavy cream
soup
garlic
melted butter
salt
pepper
paprika
Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the potatoes.
Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, and bake another 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
