Cheesy Steak Puff Pastry Bites
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
300–400 g steak (sirloin or ribeye), diced small
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional: parsley, chili flakes, caramelized onions
Instructions
Cook the steak
Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
Add steak pieces and sear 2–3 minutes.
Add butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cook another minute, then remove from heat.
Prepare the pastry
Roll out puff pastry slightly.
Cut into squares or rectangles.
Fill
Add steak pieces and cheese to the center of each square.
Fold or leave open-faced like the photo.
Brush
Beat the egg and brush edges/top of pastry.
Bake
Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
Serve
Sprinkle parsley on top.
Great with garlic sauce, ranch, or spicy mayo.
Optional Flavor Upgrade
Mix the steak with:
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
Tiny splash of hot sauce
That gives it a steakhouse-style flavor.
