Ingredients
For the Steak
450 g (1 lb) sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
For the Honey Garlic Butter Sauce
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Rice
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
2 cups beef broth or water
1 tbsp butter
Salt, to taste
Optional Garnishes
Chopped parsley
Green onions
Sesame seeds
Instructions

  1. Cook the Rice
    In a saucepan, melt 1 tbsp butter.
    Add rice and stir for 1 minute.
    Pour in beef broth or water and a pinch of salt.
    Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Season the Steak
    Pat steak pieces dry.
    Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Sear the Steak
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Add steak pieces in a single layer.
    Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
    Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Honey Garlic Butter Sauce
    Lower heat to medium.
    Melt butter in the same skillet.
    Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    Stir in honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes.
    Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine Everything
    Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
    Add cooked rice and gently mix everything together.
    Cook another 1–2 minutes until heated through.
    Serve
    Top with parsley, green onions, or sesame seeds and serve hot.
