Colombian Coconut Limeade (Limonada de Coco)
A creamy, tropical twist on classic limeade—icy, refreshing, and irresistibly smooth.
Ingredients:
½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from 4–5 limes)
1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
¼ cup sweetened condensed milk or granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
2 cups ice
½ cup cold water (optional, to thin if needed)
Lime slices & shredded coconut for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Blend it up
In a high-speed blender, add the lime juice, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk or sugar, and ice. Blend until the mixture is creamy and frothy. - Adjust texture
If the mixture feels too thick, pour in a bit of cold water and blend again until you reach your desired consistency. - Sweeten to your liking
Taste and adjust sweetness—add more sugar or condensed milk if you’d like it richer. - Serve and enjoy
Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with lime slices and shredded coconut if desired. Serve immediately while icy and refreshing.
Fun Variations:
Lighter Version: Swap half the coconut milk for coconut water for a thinner, more refreshing sip.
Frozen Twist: Use frozen cubes of coconut milk instead of ice for a thicker, slushy-style texture.
Cocktail Style: Add a splash of rum or coconut rum for an adult-friendly treat.
Perfect for summer days, dinner parties, or beachside vibes at home—Limonada de Coco is creamy, tangy, and tropical all in one sip.
