🥘 Creamy Chicken & Stuffing Casserole (Church Potluck Classic)
This is rich, cozy, easy, and always disappears first.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 box (6 oz) chicken stuffing mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but recommended 🙏)
½ cup melted butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: ½ tsp garlic powder or onion powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic/onion powder.
Stir in the cooked chicken until well coated.
Spread mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
Sprinkle cheese over the chicken layer (optional, but everyone loves it).
Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions using melted butter.
Spread stuffing evenly over the top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake 10–15 more minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serving Tip
Let it rest 5–10 minutes before serving. It scoops beautifully and travels well—perfect for church gatherings.
