Cola BBQ Ribs (Slow Cooker or Oven)

🍖 Cola BBQ Ribs (Slow Cooker or Oven)
Ingredients
2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1½ cups cola (regular, not diet)
1½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)
1 tsp garlic powder (optional but good)
1 tsp onion powder (optional)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Ribs
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (helps them get tender).
Lightly season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Step 2: Toss in the Pot
Place ribs into the slow cooker (cut into sections if needed).
Pour cola over the ribs.
Add BBQ sauce and gently toss or spoon sauce over everything.
Step 3: Slow Cook
LOW: 6–8 hours
OR
HIGH: 3–4 hours
Cook until ribs are very tender and easily pull apart.
Step 4: Optional Sticky Finish (Highly Recommended 😏)
Remove ribs and place on a baking sheet.
Brush with extra BBQ sauce.
Broil in the oven for 5–8 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
Why This Works
Cola tenderizes the meat and adds subtle sweetness.
BBQ sauce thickens into a rich, smoky glaze.
Minimal effort, maximum comfort-food payoff.
