🌶️ Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken
Ingredients
1.5–2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup salsa (mild, medium, or hot – your call)
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
Optional add-ins:
Juice of ½ lime
½ tsp smoked paprika
A splash of honey (for sweet-heat vibes)
How to Make It
Add chicken to slow cooker
Lay the chicken breasts in a single layer.
Mix the sauce
Stir together salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice (if using).
Pour over chicken
Make sure the chicken is well coated.
Cook low & slow
LOW: 4–6 hours
HIGH: 2.5–3 hours
Chicken should shred easily when done.
Shred & soak Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce. Let it sit 5–10 minutes to soak up flavor.
