🍔 Mushroom & Swiss Burger Foil Packets
Juicy burgers, melty Swiss cheese, and buttery mushrooms all wrapped in foil for an easy, no-mess dinner. Perfect for the oven, grill, or even campfire cooking!
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
4 slices Swiss cheese
2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced (optional, for a full meal)
Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Form into 4 equal patties.
2️⃣ Sauté Mushrooms
In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter.
Cook mushrooms and onions for 5–7 minutes until soft and lightly golden. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
3️⃣ Assemble the Foil Packets
Tear 4 large sheets of heavy-duty foil.
(Optional) Add a layer of thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom.
Place a burger patty on top.
Spoon sautéed mushrooms and onions over each patty.
Top with a slice of Swiss cheese.
Fold foil tightly to seal.
4️⃣ Cook
Oven:
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes.
Grill:
Medium heat for about 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
Campfire:
Place over hot coals for 20–25 minutes.

Add a splash of beef broth inside each packet for extra juiciness.
Mix a little Dijon mustard into the mushrooms.
