🥩 Ingredients
1 kg pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
👨🍳 Instructions
Prepare the ribs
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pat the ribs dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil.
Bake the ribs
Place ribs on a baking tray lined with foil.
Cover with foil and bake for 40–45 minutes until tender.
Make the honey garlic sauce
In a saucepan combine:
honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and ginger.
Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Thicken the sauce
Mix cornstarch with water and add to the sauce.
Cook until it becomes thick and glossy.
Glaze the ribs
Remove ribs from oven, brush generously with the sauce.
Caramelize
Return to oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, brushing with more sauce halfway through.
Serve
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if you like.
