Ingredients
1 large russet potato
1 tsp olive oil or butter (optional)
Salt to taste

Instructions
Wash the potato
Scrub the potato well under running water and dry it.
Pierce the potato
Use a fork to poke the potato 6–8 times. This lets steam escape while cooking.
Season (optional)
Rub with olive oil or butter and sprinkle a little salt on the skin.
Microwave
Place the potato on a microwave-safe plate and cook on high for 5 minutes.
Flip and cook again
