Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Bites
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground breakfast sausage
1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but delicious)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
Mix filling: Add the softened cream cheese to the warm sausage and stir until smooth and creamy. Mix in cheddar cheese if using.
Prepare dough: Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing the seams.
Add filling: Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the dough.
Top layer: Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place on top, pinching seams closed.
Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
Cool slightly, then cut into small squares or bites.
