Soft Skillet Flatbread with Olive Oil & Sesame

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil (for the dough)
2 tbsp olive oil (for topping)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Optional: pinch of black seeds (nigella) or dried herbs
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions
Make the dough
In a bowl mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add liquids
Pour in warm water and 1 tbsp olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead
Knead for about 8โ10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let it rise
Cover and let it rest for 45โ60 minutes until doubled.
Shape the breads
Divide into 4 pieces. Flatten each into a round (about ยฝ inch thick). Press dimples with your fingers.
Add topping
Brush olive oil on top and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Cook
Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat. Cook each bread 3โ4 minutes per side until golden with brown spots.
Serve
Drizzle a little extra olive oil on top and enjoy warm.
