🇵🇱 Polish-Style Creamy Cabbage & Sausage (Simple & Comforting)
🛒 Ingredients:
1 small head green cabbage (chopped)
2–3 smoked sausages (kielbasa-style), sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup sour cream
1 tbsp butter or oil
1 tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: 1 potato (diced) for extra heartiness
👩🍳 Instructions:
Cook the sausage
In a large pan, cook sliced sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the base
In the same pan, add butter, onion, and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.
Add cabbage & seasoning
Stir in chopped cabbage, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes until it starts to soften.
Simmer
Pour in chicken broth (and potato if using). Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes until tender.
Finish creamy
Stir in sour cream and return sausage to the pan. Heat through for a few minutes.
Serve
Best served warm with bread or boiled potatoes.

Add a splash of vinegar or lemon for a traditional tangy twist
You can swap sausage for bacon or leftover meat
