Ingredients
1.5–2 lb beef chuck roast (or stew beef)
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup beef broth (or water)
Instructions
Place beef in a slow cooker.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the top.
Add the cream of mushroom soup and spread it over the meat.
Pour in the beef broth around the edges.
Cover and cook:
Low: 7–8 hours
High: 4–5 hours
Result
The beef turns super tender and shreds easily, and the sauce becomes a rich, savory gravy.
How to serve
Over mashed potatoes
With rice
