Sliced Tomato with Salt & Pepper

2β3 ripe tomatoes
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (freshly ground is best)
Optional: olive oil or a squeeze of lemon juice

Wash the tomatoes well under clean water.
Slice them into rounds or wedges, about 0.5β1 cm thick.
Arrange the slices on a plate in a single layer.
Sprinkle salt evenly over the tomatoes.
Add black pepper to taste.
(Optional) Drizzle a little olive oil or add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor.
