Fried Potatoes & Onions
π Ingredients
4 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or russet), sliced thin
1 large onion, sliced
3β4 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)
1 tbsp butter (optional, for flavor)
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or fresh parsley

Prep the potatoes
Slice thin (about 3β5 mm). For extra crispiness, soak in cold water 10β15 minutes, then dry well.
Heat the pan
Use a large skillet over medium heat. Add oil and butter.
Cook potatoes first
Add potatoes in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for 4β5 minutes to get golden.
Flip & add onions
Turn potatoes, add sliced onions, and season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
Cook until crispy & soft inside
Stir occasionally and cook another 10β15 minutes until everything is golden and tender.
Finish & serve
Taste, adjust seasoning, sprinkle parsley if you like, and serve hot!

Donβt overcrowd the pan (cook in batches if needed)
Let them sit without stirring too much β crispier edges
