2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 (225g) blocks cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg white
1 egg yolk (for topping)
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp sugar (for topping)
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Bottom layer:
Unroll 1 can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish.
Seal the seams.
Make the filling:
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, whole egg, and egg white until smooth.
Assemble:
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.
Place the second can of crescent dough on top and gently stretch to cover.
Top layer magic:
Brush with melted butter.
Mix sugar + cinnamon and sprinkle over the top.
Brush with egg yolk for a golden finish.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
Cool completely, then chill for at least 1 hour before cutting (this makes them set perfectly!).
😍 Why this hits so hard:
Flaky layers + creamy center
Sweet but not overwhelming
That golden sugary top = 💯
