🥖 Garbage Bread (aka “tastes like pure gold”)
This fun, loaded stuffed bread is basically a mashup of pizza + sandwich + comfort food. You can throw in whatever you like—hence the name “garbage bread”—but the result is 🔥.
🧾 Ingredients
For the dough:
1 loaf pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Classic filling (customizable!):
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup cheddar cheese (optional but amazing)
½ cup cooked ground beef or sausage
½ cup pepperoni slices
¼ cup cooked bacon bits
½ cup sautéed onions & peppers
2–3 tbsp pizza sauce (or marinara)
For brushing:
2 tbsp butter (melted)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp grated Parmesan
👨🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out dough
On a floured surface, roll pizza dough into a rectangle (like a big flat sheet).
Add fillings
Spread a thin layer of sauce, then pile on cheese, meat, and veggies. Don’t overfill or it’ll burst.
Roll it up
Roll tightly like a log (like a burrito), pinching the edges closed.
Place seam-side down
Put it on your baking sheet.
Top it off
Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan.
Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Cool & slice
Let it rest 5–10 minutes, then slice into thick pieces.
😋 Tips (this is where it gets next level)
Add jalapeños for heat 🌶️
Swap meats for chicken + ranch (super popular combo)
Serve with extra marinara for dipping
Try BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce for a smoky twist
