Tender Slow-Cooked Ribs Recipe

Tender Slow-Cooked Ribs Recipe
Ingredients (serves 4–6):
2–3 lbs pork or beef ribs
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef or chicken broth
½ cup barbecue sauce (or a mix of honey, soy sauce, and ketchup for sweetness)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
Instructions:
Prep the ribs:
Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for tenderness.
Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear for flavor:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown ribs on all sides (2–3 minutes per side).
Slow cook:
Transfer ribs to a slow cooker or oven-proof dish.
Add onions, garlic, broth, and brown sugar.
Pour barbecue sauce over the top.
Cook low and slow:
Slow cooker: Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
Oven: Cover tightly with foil and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 3–4 hours.
Finish (optional glaze):
Brush extra barbecue sauce on ribs and broil for 5 minutes to caramelize.
Serve:
Let rest 10 minutes, then serve with your favorite sides—mashed potatoes or a fresh salad work perfectly.
