For the wonton filling:
250 g ground chicken or pork
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
2 green onions (finely chopped)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
For the wontons:
20–25 wonton wrappers (store-bought or homemade)
For the soup:
1.5 liters chicken broth
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: bok choy, spinach, or carrots
🥟 How to Make the Wontons
In a bowl, mix all filling ingredients well.
Place 1 teaspoon filling in the center of each wrapper.
Wet edges with water, fold into a triangle, then bring corners together and press to seal.
Set aside on a tray (don’t let them touch too much).
🍲 Make the Soup
In a pot, bring chicken broth, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce to a boil.
Gently drop in wontons.
Cook for 4–5 minutes (they’ll float when ready).
Add vegetables if using, cook 1–2 more minutes.
Finish with sesame oil, taste, and adjust seasoning.

Ladle into bowls
Top with green onions or chili oil if you like spice 🌶️

You can freeze uncooked wontons for later (cook straight from frozen).
Swap chicken for shrimp or keep it veggie with mushrooms + tofu.
Add noodles if you want a more filling meal.
