Slow Cooker Holiday Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients:
6–8 raw chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a lighter flavor)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves minced garlic if you have fresh)
Optional: salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle of paprika for color
Instructions:
Prep the chicken: Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels. Lightly season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth.
Combine in slow cooker: Place drumsticks in the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over them, making sure each piece is coated.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Optional crispy finish: For extra holiday flair, transfer the drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes to get a golden glaze.
Serve: Pair with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
This recipe is literally dump-and-go, but the honey-soy glaze makes it taste like a fancy holiday meal. 🍗✨
