π Charred Watermelon with Burrata & Hot Honey
π Ingredients
4 thick slices seedless watermelon (about 2β3 cm thick)
1 ball burrata cheese
2β3 tbsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh mint or basil leaves (optional)
Pinch of salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Optional: squeeze of lime juice, chili flakes
π₯ Instructions
Preheat your grill or pan
Use a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
Prep the watermelon
Lightly brush both sides of the watermelon slices with olive oil.
Char the watermelon
Grill for about 2β3 minutes per side until grill marks appear and the edges caramelize slightly.
Plate it
Transfer the warm watermelon to a serving plate.
Tear the burrata and place it on top.
Add toppings
Drizzle generously with hot honey.
Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Add fresh mint or basil.
Finish
Optional: squeeze a little lime juice or sprinkle chili flakes for extra kick.
π― Quick Homemade Hot Honey (optional)
Warm ΒΌ cup honey with Β½β1 tsp chili flakes for 2β3 minutes.
Let it sit, then strain (or keep flakes in for more heat).

Serve immediately while the watermelon is warm and the burrata is creamy.
Add a few crumbles of feta for extra saltiness if you like.
