1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: eggs, oil, water)
1 can (about 400g) sweetened condensed milk
1 jar (about 340g) caramel sauce (or dulce de leche)
1 container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
3–4 chocolate bars (such as Heath, Skor, or any toffee/chocolate bar), crushed
(or use chocolate chips/toffee bits)

Bake the cake
Prepare and bake the chocolate cake in a 9Ă—13-inch pan according to package instructions.
Poke holes
While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon (or a fork) to poke holes all over the cake.
Add the goodness
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
Then drizzle the caramel sauce all over.
Cool completely
Let the cake cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours.
Top it off
Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake.
Add crunch
Sprinkle crushed chocolate/toffee bars on top.
Chill & serve
Refrigerate for another hour if possible, then slice and enjoy!
