🍗 One-Dish Chicken & Rice Bake
🧾 Ingredients
1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
2 cups chicken broth (or water + bouillon cube)
4–6 chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, or breasts)
1 can (about 300 g) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 tbsp onion powder + seasoning)
2 tbsp butter (optional, for extra flavor)
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or mixed herbs
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare the base
In a baking dish, mix:
Uncooked rice
Chicken broth
Cream soup
Add chicken
Place chicken pieces on top of the rice mixture.
Season
Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over everything.
Add salt, pepper, and any extra spices you like.
Add butter (optional)
Dot small pieces of butter on top for richness.
Cover & bake
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Finish uncovered (optional)
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes to brown the chicken.

Don’t stir during baking—rice cooks perfectly underneath
Make sure it’s tightly covered so the rice absorbs liquid
Use thighs/drumsticks for juicier results
