🍗 Easy Spiced Chicken Stew (Moroccan-style)
🧂 Ingredients:
1 kg chopped chicken pieces
1 large onion (chopped)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
A handful of fresh parsley & cilantro (chopped)
2 cups water
Optional: olives or preserved lemon (for extra Moroccan flavor)
👨🍳 Instructions:
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft and fragrant.
Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5–7 minutes until lightly browned.
Add all the spices, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix well to coat the chicken.
Pour in the water, cover, and let it simmer for 30–40 minutes.
(Optional) Add olives or preserved lemon in the last 10 minutes.
Cook until the sauce thickens and the chicken is tender.
