🍰 Old-Fashioned Depression Cake (No Eggs, No Milk, No Butter)
🛒 Ingredients (only 4 main ones!)
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup water
¼ cup oil (vegetable oil works best)

1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla or spices (like cinnamon)

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a bowl, mix sugar, flour, and baking soda (if using).
Add water and oil, and stir until smooth.
If using, mix in vinegar and vanilla (this helps the cake rise and adds flavor).
Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy!
