🍪 Michigan Rocks (Old-Fashioned Cookies)
🧾 Ingredients:
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter & sugars
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs & vanilla
Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix everything together
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Fold in the goodies
Stir in oats, coconut, and chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough
Drop heaping spoonfuls onto the baking sheet (they should look rough and “rocky”).
Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
Cool
Let them sit on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
