πͺ Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
π Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (200g) brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup (100g) white sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
2 cups (340g) chocolate chips or chunks
π¨βπ³ Instructions:
Prep oven
Preheat to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix wet ingredients
In another bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix until smooth.
Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix well.
Combine
Gradually add dry ingredients into wet mixture. Stir until just combined (donβt overmix).
Add chocolate
Fold in chocolate chips.
Chill (optional but recommended)
Chill dough for 30β60 minutes for thicker, richer cookies.
Shape & bake
Scoop dough into balls (about 2 tbsp each).
Place on tray with space between them.
Bake
Bake for 10β12 minutes until edges are golden but centers still soft.
Cool slightly
Let cookies sit on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring.

Use more brown sugar for chewiness
Slightly underbake for soft centers
Add a pinch of flaky salt on top for that bakery-style finish π
For extra flavor, use chopped dark chocolate instead of chips
