🥜 Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls (Holiday Classic)
🧾 Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp vegetable oil (or coconut oil)
👩🍳 Instructions
Make the filling
In a bowl, mix peanut butter + softened butter until smooth.
Add vanilla.
Gradually mix in powdered sugar until a soft dough forms.
Shape
Roll into small balls (about 1 inch).
Place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Chill
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes (this helps them hold shape).
Melt chocolate
Melt chocolate chips with oil in the microwave (30-second intervals, stir each time).
Dip
Dip each ball into chocolate using a fork or toothpick.
(Optional: leave a little peanut butter showing on top for the classic “buckeye” look.)
Set
Place back on tray and refrigerate until chocolate hardens.
