Ingredients:
2 cups potato or sweet potato, peeled and thinly sliced (or shredded for extra crisp)
2–3 tbsp olive oil (or any cooking oil you prefer)
1 tsp salt (plus extra for sprinkling)
Optional: black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, or grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
Instructions:
Prep the potatoes:
Slice or shred the potatoes evenly so they cook consistently. If you want extra crisp, soak them in cold water for 10–15 minutes and pat completely dry.
Season:
Toss the potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and any optional spices you like. Make sure every piece is lightly coated.
Cook:
Pan-frying: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Spread the potatoes in a single layer and cook 5–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Oven: Preheat to 220°C (425°F). Spread potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.
