🍌 Bananas Foster Cobbler

Filling:
4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, keeps bananas bright)
Cobbler topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
3 tbsp melted butter
Optional topping:
Vanilla ice cream (highly recommended)

- Make the banana filling
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix sliced bananas, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon juice.
Pour into a greased baking dish. - Prepare the cobbler batter
In another bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk and melted butter.
Stir until smooth (don’t overmix). - Assemble
Spoon batter evenly over the banana mixture (don’t worry if it doesn’t fully cover—it’s supposed to be rustic). - Bake
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden and bubbly. - Serve
Let cool 10 minutes.
Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top so it melts into the sauce.
