🧾 Ingredients
1 cup (225g) butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder

Cream butter & sugar
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add wet ingredients
Mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
Make the dough
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Chill (optional but recommended)
Chill dough for 30–60 minutes (helps with shaping and better texture).
Shape cookies
Roll into balls and flatten slightly

Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden
