1β2 inches fresh ginger root
1 liter water
Juice of Β½ lemon (optional but recommended)
1β2 teaspoons honey (optional)

Peel and slice the ginger into thin pieces.
Bring the water to a boil.
Add the ginger slices and let it simmer for 10β15 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Strain into a bottle or jug.
Add lemon juice and honey if you like.
