π½οΈ Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy
This classic comfort food is juicy, flavorful, and smothered in rich onion gravy. Perfect served over mashed potatoes or rice!

For the Steaks:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Onion Gravy:
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter or oil
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
π©βπ³ Instructions
1οΈβ£ Make the Patties
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4β5 oval patties.
2οΈβ£ Brown the Steaks
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4β5 minutes per side until nicely browned.
Remove from pan and set aside (theyβll finish cooking in the gravy).
3οΈβ£ Cook the Onions
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add sliced onions and cook until soft and golden (about 8β10 minutes).
4οΈβ£ Make the Gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened.
5οΈβ£ Simmer Together
Return patties to the skillet. Cover and simmer on low for 10β15 minutes until fully cooked and tender.
