4-Ingredient Tender Ribs

🍖 4-Ingredient Tender Ribs
🛒 Ingredients:
1.5–2 kg pork ribs
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 can (330 ml) soda (like cola or root beer)
👨‍🍳 Instructions:
Prep the ribs
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (this makes them more tender).
Cut into sections if needed to fit your pot or slow cooker.
Make the sauce
In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and soda until well combined.
Cook low and slow
Slow cooker method (best for tenderness):
Place ribs inside and pour sauce over them.
Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
Oven method (if no slow cooker):
Place ribs in a baking dish, pour sauce over, and cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 160°C for about 2.5–3 hours.
Optional caramelized finish (highly recommended!)
Remove ribs, place on a baking tray.
Brush extra sauce on top and broil (grill) for 5–8 minutes until sticky and slightly charred.
🔥 Tips:
The soda helps tenderize the meat and adds a subtle sweetness.
You can swap brown sugar for honey if you want a slightly different flavor.
Serve with fries, salad, or fresh bread to soak up the sauce.
