Cream of Mushroom Smothered Ground Beef Patties 🍄🥩
A cozy, hearty casserole made with juicy beef patties baked in creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs (700 g) ground beef
1 packet onion soup mix
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 medium onion, sliced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, mix together:
ground beef
onion soup mix
breadcrumbs
egg
salt and pepper
Form the mixture into 6–8 oval patties.
Place the raw patties into a greased glass baking dish.
Scatter sliced onions around and over the patties.
In another bowl, whisk together:
cream of mushroom soup
milk
Pour the mushroom mixture evenly over the patties.
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese if using, and bake uncovered for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and cooked through.
Serve With

Steamed green beans
