Stuffed Cabbage Rolls 😍
Ingredients
1 large green cabbage
500 g ground beef (or beef + rice mix)
1 cup cooked rice
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 cups tomato sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Carefully remove the cabbage core and place the whole cabbage in boiling water for 5–7 minutes until leaves soften.
Peel off the softened leaves and set aside.
Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix:
ground beef
cooked rice
onion
garlic
egg
salt
pepper
paprika
parsley
Roll Them
Place a spoonful of filling in each cabbage leaf.
Fold the sides in and roll tightly like a burrito.
Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, olive oil, and broth.
Bake
Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
Pour sauce over the top.
Cover with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 1 hour.
Optional
Serve with mashed potatoes, sour cream, or crusty bread.
