Slow Cooker Cabbage & Bacon Comfort Dinner
A cozy, hearty 4-ingredient meal that’s simple and full of flavor.
Ingredients
1 small head green cabbage, chopped
8 slices bacon, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 cups chicken broth
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon for 5–7 minutes until slightly crispy.
Add sliced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
Place chopped cabbage and cubed potatoes into the slow cooker.
Pour the bacon and onions over the top.
Add chicken broth, then season with salt and black pepper.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender and cabbage is soft.
Stir gently before serving.
