Cozy Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops Bake 🍎🍽️
Ingredients
4 boneless or bone-in pork chops
2 apples, thinly sliced (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great)
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth or apple juice
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions and apples, then stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for 4–5 minutes until slightly softened.
Pour chicken broth (or apple juice) into the skillet and stir gently.
Transfer the apple-onion mixture into a baking dish. Place the seared pork chops on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until pork chops are fully cooked and tender.
Remove foil for the last 5 minutes if you’d like a more caramelized top.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Serving Idea
Perfect with mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, or buttered green beans.
