Slow Cooker Pork Crown Roast Dinner
Ingredients
1 pork crown roast (or pork loin roast sections), about 4–5 lbs
1 packet onion soup mix
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup apple juice (or apple cider)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon black pepper
4–5 potatoes, cut into chunks
3 carrots, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
Instructions
Spray your slow cooker lightly with oil or cooking spray.
Place the potatoes, carrots, and sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Set the pork crown roast sections on top of the vegetables.
In a bowl, mix:
onion soup mix
garlic
chicken broth
apple juice
brown sugar
Dijon mustard
black pepper
Pour the mixture evenly over the pork.
Cover and cook:
LOW for 7–8 hours
or
HIGH for 4–5 hours
Once tender and fully cooked, carefully remove and serve with the vegetables and juices spooned over the top.
Optional
Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving for extra flavor.
