🍖 Brown Sugar Pork Chops
đź›’ Ingredients
4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional: pinch of chili flakes (for a little heat)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Season the chops
Pat pork chops dry, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear the pork chops
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add pork chops and sear for about 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned. Remove and set aside.
Make the sauce
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add brown sugar
Stir in the brown sugar and let it melt into a rich, bubbling sauce.
Combine and caramelize
Return pork chops to the pan. Spoon the sauce over them and cook for another 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and coated in a sticky glaze.
Serve
Spoon extra sauce over the chops and serve hot.
🍽️ Tips
Great with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables
For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or a squeeze of lemon juice
Don’t overcook—pork chops stay juicier when cooked just to done
