🧾 Ingredients
200 g unsalted butter (softened)
100 g powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
250 g all-purpose flour
1 pinch of salt

Cream the butter & sugar
In a bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flavor & egg
Mix in the vanilla extract and egg yolk until smooth.
Make the dough
Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Shape cookies
Roll dough into small balls, or
Use a piping bag for decorative shapes, or
Roll out and cut with cookie cutters.
Chill (optional but recommended)
Refrigerate dough for 20–30 minutes to help cookies keep their shape.
Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden
Cool & serve
Let them cool completely—they’ll firm up and become perfectly tender.
✨ Optional Finishes
Dust with powdered sugar
Dip half in melted chocolate
Add jam in the center (like thumbprint cookies)
