4 cod fillets (fresh or frozen, thawed)
Juice of 1β2 lemons π
3 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
Optional: salt & black pepper to taste

Prep the cod
Place the cod fillets in the slow cooker in a single layer.
Add flavor
Squeeze fresh lemon juice evenly over the fish.
Add butter on top (cut into small pieces so it melts evenly).
Season (optional but recommended)
Sprinkle a little salt and pepper.
Cook
On LOW for 1.5β2 hours
OR HIGH for about 1 hour
(Fish cooks fastβdonβt overcook or it can get dry.)
Serve
The cod should be tender and flaky. Spoon the lemon-butter sauce over the top before serving.
