Slow Cooker Onion Beef Patties
A cozy, savory slow cooker dinner with juicy beef patties smothered in tender onions and rich gravy.
Ingredients
1½ lbs (700 g) ground beef
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Shape the patties
Form the ground beef into 4–6 oval patties. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Layer the slow cooker
Spread half the sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the beef patties on top, then cover with the remaining onions.
Mix the sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:
onion soup mix
cream of mushroom soup
beef broth
Worcestershire sauce
Pour over patties
Pour the mixture evenly over everything in the slow cooker.
Cook
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
The onions will become soft and flavorful while the patties stay tender.
Serve
Spoon extra gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles.
