Ingredients
2–3 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
1½–2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional but tasty)
1 teaspoon paprika (optional for color + flavor)
Fresh herbs like parsley or rosemary (optional)
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Slice the potatoes
Wash well (you can peel them or leave the skin on).
Cut into thin slices (about 3–5 mm thick). Try to keep them even so they cook evenly.
Soak for crispiness (important!)
Put slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes.
This removes extra starch → makes them crispier.
Dry them well
Drain and pat completely dry with a towel.
Season
Toss potato slices in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Air fry
Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
Arrange slices in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
Cook for 12–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Check crispiness
They’re done when golden brown and crispy on the edges.
Serve
Sprinkle with herbs or extra salt while hot.
