Slow Cooker Pierogi Comfort Casserole
A super easy, creamy slow cooker dinner with cheesy pierogi, smoky sausage, and onions — pure comfort food with almost no effort.
Ingredients
1 bag frozen potato & cheese pierogi (about 900 g / 2 lb)
300–400 g smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth or milk
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
Black pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for topping
Instructions
Grease the slow cooker lightly with butter or cooking spray.
Add half the frozen pierogi to the bottom.
Layer with half the sausage, onions, and cheese.
Repeat the layers.
In a bowl, mix:
soup
sour cream
broth or milk
garlic powder
pepper
Pour the mixture evenly over everything.
Dot the top with butter.
Cover and cook:
Low: 4–5 hours
High: 2–3 hours
Sprinkle with extra cheese during the last 15 minutes if you want it extra cheesy.
Garnish and serve warm.
