Cinnamon & Honey Drink
Ingredients
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional: squeeze of lemon
Instructions
Warm the water (not boiling).
Stir in the cinnamon.
Add honey and mix well.
Add lemon if desired.
Drink warm, usually in the morning or before bed.
Optional Variations
For a tea version
Brew herbal or green tea first, then add:
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
For toast or oatmeal
Mix:
2 teaspoons honey
A pinch of cinnamon
Drizzle over toast, oats, yogurt, or fruit.
Important Notes
Honey should not be given to babies under 1 year old.
Too much cinnamon daily can be harmful, especially cassia cinnamon, because it contains coumarin.
This drink is not a replacement for medical treatment for heart disease, infections, or other illnesses.
