Brown Sugar Chops

Brown Sugar Chops
Ingredients
4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional, for deeper flavor)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Season the chops
Pat pork chops dry. Season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sear the pork chops
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chops for about 4–5 minutes per side until nicely browned.
Make the brown sugar glaze
Lower heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt. Sprinkle in brown sugar and stir gently until it combines into a caramel-like sauce. Add soy sauce if using.
Coat and caramelize
Spoon the glaze over the pork chops continuously for 2–3 minutes until glossy and caramelized.
Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Optional Add-Ins
A pinch of cayenne for heat
Sliced onions cooked in the skillet
A splash of apple juice or honey for extra sweetness
